Manhattan's Nightingale-Bamford School Raises over $1300 for Hurricane Relief

Thanks to the leadership of Teens4PR volunteers Ana Beatriz and Sofia Slade, the Community Engagment Board at the Nightingale-Bamford School, and all-girls school in Manhattan, raised $1351 for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. The amount, which surpasses the school's original $1250 goal, was raised through coin drives and bake sales held during the fall and winter of the 2017-18 school year.

"At the beginning of this school year, the Community Engagement Board at the Nightingale-Bamford School set out to focus our efforts on supporting victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma," said the school's Community Engagement Board in a statement. "It became clear that finding ways to help Puerto Rico was a top priority in our projects at Nightingale."

We commend and thank the Nightingale-Bamford School and the Slade sisters - second generation Puerto Ricans -  for their hard work and their commitment to Teens4PR and Puerto Rico.
